We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Onsite Field Technician to join our team. This role involves providing expert customer support, conducting onsite troubleshooting, and ensuring the seamless installation and configuration of hardware at customer locations. The Onsite Field Technician will also maintain internal company assets, such as but not limited to MacBooks and iPads, ensuring optimal performance.
What you will do:- Provide expert technical support and guide customers in troubleshooting and using StoreHub products effectively.
- Conduct scheduled onsite visits to customer locations to address complex issues (minimum 60 visits per month).
- Perform detailed network assessments to evaluate existing IT infrastructure and recommend improvements.
- Install, configure, and test hardware, including POS systems, routers, and printers, ensuring seamless integration.
- Execute troubleshooting procedures for hardware and network issues, and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot internal company assets, including reformatting and repairs for devices such as but not limited to MacBooks and iPads.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting site visits, findings, and solutions, supported by relevant photos.
- Communicate updates with the internal team and follow up with customers to ensure issue resolution and satisfaction.
- Compile and analyze weekly and monthly service reports to identify trends and inform continuous service improvements.
How you will you need to be:- Proficiency in hardware setup and network connection fundamentals (LAN, WAN, WiFi).
- Basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical skills to prepare reports with root cause analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel and conduct multiple onsite visits each month.
